“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
― Fred Rogers
Our Mission
When we opened Polkadot Play, our goal was to create an accessible place for all children to play and learn. Neurodiverse children need a safe and supportive place to be their authentic selves. All children need the freedom to play, imagine, and stretch their bodies and minds. Polkadot Play is a place for children to have that freedom.
We also strive to be a place where parents and caregivers can connect, and maybe even relax for a bit. In the world we live in, where we can feel so disconnected, we wanted to build a community for neurodiverse families and neurotypical families to come together to make something bigger than us, to make a family.

Miss Kayleigh
Kayleigh is the owner of Kalamar Physical Therapy LLC and co-founder of Polkadot Play. She graduated from Emory University in May 2016 and began her career as a pediatric physical therapist in October 2016. She has been able to expand her practice to include both outpatient therapy and aquatic therapy. In her spare time Kayleigh likes to hang out with her dog, Gunther, and relax on the beach.

Polkadot Play is home to Kalamar Physical Therapy Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays (when Polkadot Play is our favorite sensory gym) Kayleigh spends her days doing aquatic PT! So, if you are looking for a physical therapist, Kayleigh will be glad to help out! Call or pick up a card the next time you come in to play!

Miss Brie
For the past 6 years, I've spent time working as a special needs caregiver for a family with 3 special needs kids. Starting in the fall I will be taking classes to become a certified Physical Therapy Assistant to continue working alongside Kayleigh in the field of pediatric physical therapy.
In my spare time I love being outdoors (hiking and the beach are my favorites). I love being active and can't sit still for long. I'm married and we have a 16-year-old pug/Jack Russell mix who we are obsessed with! I'm a local 757 girl who loves coffee and loves interior design/fashion.

Miss jessa
I have been with our Polkadot family for just over a year now and I absolutely love the amazing families I get to work with. I have learned so much from working here at Polkadot and have made some truly meaningful connections.
I am a part-time employee, a full time Mom and a full-time student! I am a mom to two amazing little kids who absolutely love coming to visit Polkadot any chance they get. I have my Associates Degree in Social Sciences and I am two semesters away from completing my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with hopes to continue my education further to become a Clinical Psychologist. In my free time I love to be outside either hiking or at the beach with my family! If I'm not doing that, there is a good chance I'm snuggled up with a book reading.
